As of 18 June 2019, Canada has introduced two new home caregiver pilots to help home support providers immigrate to Canada. They serve as replacements for the LCP (Live-in Caregiver Program), which was closed to new applicants.
But under the new home care provider pilots, you will be able to apply for permanent residence if you have a valid job offer or already have work experience in Canada as a caregiver to meet the eligibility requirements.
These two programs are for the candidate having experience as a Nurse or a Primary school teacher. Applicants must apply under the specific program which suits their skills and work experience.
New Agri-food Immigration Pilot will open up over 2,750 plus family members, will be accepted for processing of job opportunities for skilled farm and livestock workers, and a total of approximately 16,500 possible new permanent residents over the three-year duration of the pilot.
RNIP is the need of the country due to the high retirement rates in Canada, there is a massive gap in the job market, especially in rural and northern areas where population growth is slow.
