Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is a stream under Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) immigration program through which a broad range of workers, graduates, and entrepreneurs can settle in Alberta permanently or temporarily for 2 years until you are done with the federal immigration.
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program offers five streams —
- Opportunity Stream: The Opportunity Stream provides a pathway to the candidates looking for Canadian permanent residence for working in Alberta, after getting a job offer from an employer in Alberta in order to be eligible.
- Express Entry Stream: Candidates who received got the invitation from the Alberta Province can apply under the Express Entry Stream. They received their invitation through their Express Entry accounts with the exact selection criteria not available to the public.
Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination through an Express Entry-aligned stream receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points and an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence at a subsequent draw from the pool.
International Graduate Entrepreneur Immigration Stream: The International Graduate Entrepreneur Immigration Stream (IGEIS) is for international students who have graduated from post-secondary institutions in Alberta and wants to settle permanently in the Alberta province by starting a business or purchasing an existing business.
Foreign Graduate Start-up Visa Stream: The Foreign Graduate Start-up Visa Stream (FGSVS) is for graduates holding Post-Secondary Degree or Certificate from the institutes outside Canada who are interested in starting new businesses and settling in Alberta.
- Self-Employed Farmer Stream: The AINP also offers the Self-Employed Farmer Stream for experienced farmers or the farmland owner with the demonstrated capacity to operate a farm in Alberta.
